"Sokak Klinikleri" (street clinics) operate within the scope of legal clinics and are activities where basic legal knowledge is transferred to individuals without a legal specialization by students currently enrolled in law faculties.
This activity, which has various examples especially in the United States, allows students, civil society organization members, volunteers, and individuals specialized in different fields to gain legal knowledge through interactive educational activities. The lessons provided primarily focus on sociological findings related to legal issues encountered in daily life and legal remedies for these issues. Participants are particularly educated in current areas such as family law, protection of personal data, animal rights law, internet law, etc. Students participating in these activities within the clinic structure carry out their work under the framework of the Legal Clinic course, which is an elective course with 2 ECTS credits.
