Accreditation

After rigorous preparation, MEF University School of Foreign Languages was visited in March 2022 by inspectors from Eaquals, to evaluate the department and recommend it for accreditation. Accreditation by Eaquals enables providers of language education to demonstrate that they meet high international standards. All three SOFL programs were inspected; the English Language Preparatory Program, Faculty English Program, and Second Foreign Languages Program) and were evaluated in the following areas:

• Management and Administration

• Quality Assurance

• Communication with Staff

• Communication with Students and Clients

• Course Design and Supporting Systems

• Teaching and Learning

• Assessment and Certification

• Academic Resources

• Student Services

• Staff Profile and Development

• Staff Employment Terms

• Learning Environment

MEF SOFL was found to meet the high standards required by Eaquals and is now fully accredited.

The Eaquals Certificate of Accreditation awarded to MEF University School of Foreign Languages can be found in the appendices of the student handbook, along with the ‘Eaquals Guarantee for Language Centres’ and the ‘Eaquals Guarantee for Students’. As accreditation is an ongoing and renewable commitment, MEF SOFL will undergo its next Eaquals inspection in 2026.
