Today, Public Law has gone beyond the study of inter-state relations and has become a field that follows the consequences of globalization in different fields and is a part of these changes. The aim of the Public Law PhD Program is to enable students to understand and analyze the relations between public law actors, including individuals, national/international non-governmental organizations, intergovernmental organizations and states, in the light of innovations. In addition, this program aims to train expert lawyers who have grasped the foundations of legal theory, who can handle public law areas in a holistic manner, and who can conduct academic research and studies. Within the scope of the program, students are offered the opportunity to conduct research and discussion in the fields of public law, scientific research methods and ethical rules are taught, and students are aimed to conduct in-depth academic studies.
In the program, students are expected to be able to conduct comprehensive and in-depth research in areas such as Legal Theory, Legal Philosophy, Financial Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, International Law, Human Rights Law, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law and to develop the ability to transfer their knowledge in these fields by producing a scientific result in national and international arena. In this way, it is aimed to train researcher lawyers who contribute to academic development, are versatile, holistic and researcher, have a strong notion of law and social responsibility, and are experts in their fields.
