Director's Message

Educational activities at the postgraduate (Master's and PhD) level at universities play a significant role in raising the new generations of experts and academics who will participate in research and development efforts, which is a crucial mission of academia. The theses and projects produced make significant contributions to the transformation of theory into practice. In this regard, providing quality postgraduate education is of great importance for the advancement of science and the cultivation of a well-equipped workforce.

As the legacy of the late Dr. İbrahim Arıkan, a renowned educator who had a highly respected place in the academic world, MEF University strives intensely to become one of the leading educational institutions in our country and the world, not only in its undergraduate programs but also in its postgraduate programs. This is achieved with the contributions of its distinguished full-time academic staff, each recognized in their respective fields, and esteemed sector representatives, under the roof of MEF. MEF University's Graduate School conducts its Master's and PhD programs with this understanding.

Currently, our institute hosts four PhD programs: Turkish-language programs in "Public Law" and "Private Law," as well as Turkish and English PhD programs in "Computer Science and Engineering." Additionally, we offer a total of 44 Master's programs, 20 of which are thesis-based (9 in Turkish, 11 in English) and 24 of which are non-thesis (12 in English, 12 in Turkish).

As of Fall 2024 semester, a total of 992 students have enrolled in our institute, and of these, 481 have graduated, including 83 from thesis-based and 398 from non-thesis programs. Through these efforts, 83 theses and 398 projects have made valuable contributions to the academic literature across different disciplines. Currently, 211 students, including 6 PhD candidates, are continuing their postgraduate studies.
