Osman Tayfun FAKIROGLU works at MEF School of Foreign Languages as a French lecturer. He holds a bachelor & MA degree from Paris IV Sorbonne University and he holds a doctorate degree of French Language and Literature from Aix-Marseille University. The title of his phd thesis is "The genesis of the diplomatic travelling genre: travel discourse of Marquis de Villeneuve during his embassy in the Ottoman Porte in 1730". He is specialized in diplomatic literature of France in the Orient and in travel literature. He also holds DALF (The Advanced Certificate of French Language Proficiency) / Level C 2. He is interested in learning Ottoman Turkish and searching about the history of French and Latin families in İstanbul. His hobbies are travelling and rowing.
