Biography
Yassine Drias earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Sciences and Technology of Algiers (USTHB) in 2011. He pursued his Master’s degree in Intelligent Informatics Systems at USTHB in collaboration with ENSMA, Poitiers, France, graduating in 2013. In 2017, he completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy, where his research focused on Web Information Foraging and Swarm Intelligence.
From 2018 to 2022, Dr. Drias worked as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Algiers. His research interests encompassed various areas such as Bio-inspired Computing, Multi-Agent Systems, Machine Learning, and Data Mining. During this time, he actively contributed to several international and national projects, including dynamic ambulance dispatching and emergency call coverage, as well as soil mapping and climate change prediction.
Recognized for his research output, Dr. Drias was honored as one of the 15 most accomplished researchers at the University of Algiers between 2017 and 2022, according to Scopus ranking.
Since February 2023, Dr. Drias has held the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at MEF University. His current research revolves around Quantum Computing and Machine Learning.
