Biography
Fulya Özcanlı joined MEF University in 2021. She teaches courses in personality theories, clinical psychology, and psychopathology. She completed her doctoral studies in 2019 at KU Leuven (University of Leuven) in Belgium, focusing on cross-cultural similarities and differences in obsessions. After completing her doctorate, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Leuven University for two years. Her main research areas include the socio-cultural components of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), the relationship between OCD, self, and morality, factors predisposing to the development of psychopathology, and the interaction between culture and psychopathology.
