Biography
Nazan Moroğlu graduated from Deutsche Schule Istanbul and Istanbul University Faculty of Law. She completed her LLM with specialization in ‘‘Women’s Studies’’. She is a lawyer. She is the founding president of ‘‘The Women’s Rights Commission of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations’’. Among institutions she is a member of are ‘‘The Foundation of Turkish Women in Legal Professions’’, ‘‘European Women Lawyers Association’’, ‘‘Istanbul Bar Association Women’s Rights Center’’, ‘‘Women’s Studies Association’’, ‘‘TÜSİAD Gender Equality Working Groups’’. She has taken part in projects on the subject of modernization of constitution, prevention of violence against women, child brides. Her published works relate mainly to gender equality, violence against women, Civil Code regulations with respect to women, child brides. Since 2016 she has been giving ‘‘Women’s Human Rights’’ as a guest lecturer in MEF University Faculty of Law.
