Biography
Dr. Rukiye Didem Taylan graduated from Boğaziçi University in 2007. She received a Fulbright scholarship and completed her M.S. degree in mathematics education at Teachers’ College, Columbia University in 2009. She received Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, in 2013. Since 2014, she has been working at MEF University, İstanbul. She is the head of the Department of Elementary Mathematics Teaching since 2019. She conducts research and has published in the field of teacher learning and noticing as well as classroom practices. She has been involved in various research projects including teacher professional development, teacher learning and about mathematics anxiety. As of 2022, she serves as the academic advisor of Private Schools Association of Türkiye.
