Biography
Dr. Nazlı Karamollaoğlu received her Ph.D. in Economics from the City University of New York in 2012 and her master's degree in International Economics and Development from Yale University in 2005. Her main areas of research include international trade and finance, macroeconomics, applied econometrics, as well as environmental economics and policies.
She began her academic career as an Assistant Professor and founding Department Chair at MEF University in 2014. In 2020, she obtained the title of Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at MEF University. Karamollaoğlu has publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Economic Systems, Applied Economics Letters, Journal of International Trade and Economic Development, and Empirical Economics.
Prior to her academic tenure, Karamollaoğlu worked as an Economist in the research department at TEB-BNP Paribas and Roubini Global Economics LLC. She also served as a research assistant at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). In addition to her academic contributions, Dr. Nazlı Karamollaoğlu actively participates in various consultancy projects in civil society organizations, the private sector, and the public sector.
