Biography
Baris Caglar is a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at MEF University, Istanbul, Turkey where he lectures as an Assistant Professor since 2014. He holds a Ph.D. from International Relations, Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. Despite having been institutionally unaffiliated, he conducted part of his dissertation research and consultations in Yale University and Harvard University in 2005. He got published in Middle East Policy (SSCI), Orient (GEOBASE, BAS, IPSA, PAIS, SCOPUS), and The Journal of Security Strategies. He also represented Turkey as an advanced trainer on weapons of mass destruction in NATO seminars, courses and exercises in Turkey, Georgia and Greece.
